Our Mission

IK4D aims to support and promote the recognition, preservation, relevance and utilisation of Indigenous knowledge and systems as an important resource for sustainable development and inclusivity in Malawi.

Our Vision

IK4D will ensure IK becomes an important resource and ingredient in solving local social and economic challenges and in fostering sustainable technical and management practices, particularly in marginalized communities. IK4D aims to challenge and augment current ways of working in the development system and approaches by ensuring IK plays a greater role in implementing development projects for sustainability and value for money.
